Module 1 - RSS Feeds
Discussions:
Web 2.0 can help me become a more informed teacher. With the ease of access of specific information being delivered straight to me, I can have these resources readily available with a few clicks of a button.

Module 2 - Screencasting
I'd like to use screencasting to show students how to find and access different parts of the web. I'd like to show them step-by-step how to find specific information. I don't think I'll use many podcasts or vodcasts as the information tends to be a little too biased. I'd like to give neutral info so my students can create their own ideas.

Module 3 - Social Networking
I don't think I'll be using Social Networking too much in my educational practices as it opens too many problems with cyberbullying. Even as a teacher, students are taking pics of me and posting them on their social media websites. This has already caused problems with other teachers across the district and I'm sure across the nation.

Module 4 - Second Life
I don't think I'll be using Secondlife in my professional practice. The learning curve is too steep, the resources are limited and there is room for other activities that are inappropriate. I did find some resources, but they didn't pertain to my subject.

Module 5 - Teacher Resources
I use a lot of videos at the end of the week for my Visual Resources. i often just download them off youtube from home and bring them to school, as CCSD has blocked youtube. Lately, I've been using Discovery Education to get CCSD approved videos to show in my class. I'd like to view and even create my own videos to put onto Teachertube.

Module 6 - Unit of Instruction
I see the web evolving to where information would become tailored and delivered to the user much more faster and more frequently. I see a more interactive and social web where people will spend more time and share more aspects of their lives. For education, I think it'll help with gathering more information and offering a wider range of viewpoints on topics not covered in textbooks.
For my unit of instruction, I decided to add an assignment to an existing unit. They will create a screencast of an important/key figure of the Cold War.
